SOUTH CAROLINA — One person died in a single-vehicle crash late Tuesday night in Loris, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Officials said a GMC SUV was traveling north on Red Bluff Road near Highway 777 around 11:15 p.m. when it left the roadway, overturned, and struck a ditch.
Troopers reported that one occupant was ejected from the vehicle, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the crash, and the roadway was closed for an extended period while first responders cleared the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
