SOUTH CAROLINA — A 15-year-old boy was killed in a crash Tuesday morning in Colleton County, according to Colleton County Fire-Rescue.
Emergency crews were called just after 6 a.m. to White Hall Road. Rescuers said the teen was driving a Honda when the vehicle dropped off the shoulder and he over-corrected.
The car slid sideways into the northbound lane, where it was struck on the passenger side by a Dodge truck.
Both vehicles went off the road and hit a large pine tree. The teen driver was trapped in the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene.
Two adult men in the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
