SOUTH CAROLINA — An 84-year-old man has died following a two-car crash that left several others injured Monday evening in Anderson County.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 187 and Huitt Road.
According to a preliminary investigation, Leemorn Peterson was a passenger in a car making a left-hand turn from Huitt Road onto Highway 187 when the vehicle was struck by another car traveling on Highway 187.
Peterson was airlifted to a hospital, where he died around 3 a.m. Tuesday. The coroner’s office confirmed multiple people were injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
