One person dead following vehicle crash in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that one person has died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash earlier this month.

The crash occurred on May 9, just before 8 p.m., when a 2014 Ford Sedan ran off the right side of Coopertown Road at the intersection with Cowpens Clifton Road.

There were two people in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Both were transported to Spartanburg Regional Hospital. The driver died from their injuries on Saturday, May 24.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
