SOUTH CAROLINA — One person died following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP).
The crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Mallard Road near the intersection with All Splash Drive.
Troopers say a Nissan Maxima was traveling east when it left the roadway, struck a ditch, and hit a tree before overturning.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported by EMS to Trident Medical Center, where they later died from their injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
