The crash occurred around 4:50 a.m. on I-83 between the Maryland state line and Exit 4 in Shrewsbury Township, county dispatchers said. Authorities reported the crash involved a tractor-trailer and an SUV.
York County Coroner Tania Zech said her office was dispatched around 7:50 a.m. to WellSpan York Hospital after receiving a report that a man had died as a result of the crash on southbound I-83 near mile marker 2.
The identity of the man, including his name, age, and hometown, has not been released pending notification of his relatives, according to the coroner’s office.
