
PENNSYLVANIA — State police are investigating a deadly multi-vehicle crash that occurred late Friday night in Union Township.
According to state police, the crash happened just before midnight on Basehoar School Road. Investigators said a driver traveling eastbound attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.
The coroner said the driver of the passing vehicle, a 31-year-old woman, died shortly after the crash. State police said the driver of the second vehicle was transported to a hospital for treatment. The extent of that driver’s injuries was not released.
The crash remains under investigation.
