PENNSYLVANIA — A man was killed and another person injured in a two-vehicle crash late Wednesday night in Lancaster County, according to East Lampeter Township police.
The crash occurred around 10:56 p.m. on Old Philadelphia Pike/Route 340 near Elmwood Road when an SUV and a sedan collided.
Emergency crews arriving at the scene found the sedan driver trapped inside the vehicle and had to extricate him, police said.
The driver of the sedan, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A portion of Old Philadelphia Pike was closed for several hours overnight but has since reopened.
The East Lampeter Township Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
