OKLAHOMA — An Oklahoma man is dead following a head-on crash Sunday morning in Garvin County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred on U.S. Highway 177.
Investigators said a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Steven J. Goodnight of Wanette was traveling northbound when, for an unknown reason, it crossed left of center and struck a southbound vehicle.
Authorities identified the driver of the southbound vehicle as 52-year-old Michael L. Martin of Oklahoma City. Troopers said Martin was injured.
Officials said Goodnight was also injured and later died as a result of the crash.
According to investigators, both drivers were wearing seatbelts and neither vehicle had passengers.
The crash remains under investigation.
