OKLAHOMA — One person was killed and another critically injured in a crash Wednesday evening in Norman, authorities confirmed.
According to the Norman Police Department, officers responded just after 5 p.m. to a crash near 84th Avenue Southeast and State Highway 9.
Initial reports indicated two people were critically injured and another person was unhurt. Police later confirmed that one of the critically injured victims died.
Authorities said one person was transported by air ambulance to a hospital. The condition of the surviving victim has not been updated.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The intersection was closed as officers worked the scene.
