One person dead following vehicle crash in Ohio Thursday

OHIO — A driver was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash on eastbound I-70 early Thursday morning, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the crash near the 134-mile marker around 4:30 a.m.

Investigators say a 1996 Dodge Ram veered off the road to the south, traveled through a ditch, and hit a hump, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times.

The driver was ejected and found partially in the roadway, where they were pronounced dead.

Authorities believe the driver was the only person in the vehicle.

The victim’s identity has not been released, and the crash remains under investigation.
