OHIO — One man was killed and two other people were injured Monday evening following a two-vehicle crash in Clark County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers from the Springfield Post were called to the intersection of State Route 4 and Ohio 334 at approximately 6:34 p.m. after receiving a report of a two-vehicle accident.

Investigators said a 2005 Saturn Ion, driven by 31-year-old David Antonio, was traveling southbound on State Route 4 when it failed to stop at a yield sign at the intersection. As a result, Antonio’s vehicle entered the intersection and collided with a 2009 Honda Accord driven by 18-year-old Gavin Dryer.

Both vehicles went off the east side of the roadway following the impact, according to troopers. Antonio was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.

Dryer was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. A passenger in the Honda, 18-year-old Adisyn Welty, was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The intersection was closed following the crash and reopened shortly after 8:40 p.m. The Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
