OHIO — One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night, Dec. 24, in Weathersfield Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m. on Salt Springs Road. Authorities reported that 31-year-old Jonathan Stapleton of Niles was traveling westbound when a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Elly Wright, who was traveling eastbound, crossed left of center and struck Stapleton’s vehicle.
Stapleton was pronounced dead as a result of the crash. Wright was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
