One person dead following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — The Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that left one person dead and another seriously injured Saturday afternoon.

Troopers said the crash occurred just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Cardo Road and Dawson Road. According to the preliminary investigation, a 2021 Dodge Durango driven by 25-year-old Tre’Sean L. Clemons of Kettering was traveling west on Cardo Road while fleeing from Sidney Police.

Investigators said the vehicle went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned. Clemons was ejected from the SUV and died at the scene.

A passenger, 19-year-old Aaliyah Davis of Piqua, was flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Sidney Police Department, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Loramie Fire & Rescue, CareFlight, the Shelby County Coroner’s Office, and Bushnell’s Collision & Towing.
