OHIO — A Meigs County official was killed Wednesday morning in a crash involving a car and a farm tractor, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. near milepost 124 on state Route 124. Clay Ihle, 70, of Rutland, was pronounced dead at Holzer Medical Center in Meigs County.

Meigs County Sheriff Scott Fitch confirmed that Ihle was the current county treasurer and had previously served as a county commissioner.
