
OHIO — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon on State Route 586.
Troopers said the crash happened around 3:25 p.m. near milepost six.
According to investigators, 39-year-old Seth Frederick of Newark was driving a Ford F-550 northbound when the vehicle went off the right side of the road. Frederick then came back onto the highway, crossed the center line, and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado.
The Silverado was driven by 28-year-old Zachary Minosky of Hopewell. Both drivers were taken to Licking Memorial Hospital, where Frederick was treated for minor injuries. Minosky later died from his injuries.
The Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation. The Ohio Department of Transportation and local fire departments assisted at the scene.
