One person dead following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — One person was killed and another injured after a crash on Ronald Reagan Highway early Saturday morning, according to the Colerain Township Fire Department.

The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. between Blue Rock Road and Interstate 275. When first responders arrived, they found a white SUV overturned near the highway’s westbound lanes.

Crews attempted lifesaving measures on one of the occupants, but the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The second occupant was taken to UC Medical Center. The extent of their injuries has not been released.

Authorities have not identified the person who died. The westbound lanes of Ronald Reagan Highway were closed for about an hour but reopened shortly before 3 a.m.

The Colerain Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 513-321-2677.
