OHIO — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash that left one person dead Friday night on State Route 3 (Cleveland Road).
Troopers from the Wooster Post responded to the scene just south of milepost 24 around 8 p.m., according to a release from the Highway Patrol.
Investigators said a 2010 Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2024 International semi-truck with a trailer. The impact caused the Nissan to become airborne, overturn, and strike a 2015 GMC Sierra pickup truck that was pulling a horse trailer.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 31-year-old Imogene Osborne of Wooster, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner’s Office. Troopers noted she had been wearing a seatbelt.
The drivers of the semi-truck and the pickup truck were not injured.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Canaan Township Fire and EMS, Central Fire and EMS, the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Wayne County Coroner’s Office, and Bear’s Towing all assisted at the scene.
