OHIO — A 35-year-old man was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle crash in Gallia County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened just before 8 p.m. on State Route 850 in the Bidwell area.
A 2004 Honda Accord driven by Jeremy Morehart of Bidwell was traveling south when it went off the right side of the road. Investigators said the car overcorrected, crossed the roadway, and went off the left side, striking a sign and a ditch. The vehicle overturned and then struck another sign.
Morehart, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallia County Coroner.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, Gallia County EMS, Springfield Township Fire Department, Stapleton Towing, and Willis Funeral Home assisted at the scene.
