One person dead following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — A 49-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in the Carthage neighborhood, according to Cincinnati police.

Officers responded to the scene around 9:25 p.m. in the 300 block of West North Bend Road.

Investigators say the man was driving a 2000 Toyota 4Runner eastbound when he lost control, struck a curb, left the roadway, and collided with a fixed object. Authorities have not specified what the vehicle struck.

The driver was transported to UC Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Police say it is currently unknown whether the man was wearing a seatbelt. Investigators are looking into excessive speed and impairment as possible contributing factors.
