OHIO — A 55-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening at the intersection of Midlothian Boulevard and Southern Boulevard.
According to a police report, officers responded to the scene around 5:50 p.m. and discovered one of the vehicles flipped upside down on the railroad tracks.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the overturned vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second car was not injured, authorities said.
Yellow caution tape blocked off the intersection for several hours following the crash as investigators worked at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Youngstown Police Department and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office. The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been released.
