OHIO — An 87-year-old man died Thursday night after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing U.S. Route 42 near Fields Ertel Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

They identified the victim as James Quick of Sharonville.
Preliminary findings indicate Quick was attempting to cross the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a southbound 2023 Ford F-150.
The truck was driven by a 37-year-old man, who, along with his passenger, was not injured.
Quick was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
