OHIO — A Findlay man was killed Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in Hancock County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the crash occurred just after 10 p.m. on State Route 186, south of County Road 97. Paul Leader, 51, of Findlay, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators report that Leader was driving southbound when his vehicle crossed left of center and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by 23-year-old Shelby Freed of McComb.

Freed was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay for treatment. Authorities have not released details on her condition.

Emergency crews from Hanco EMS, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Pleasant McComb Portage Joint Fire Department and the county coroner responded to the scene.

Officials say both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
