OHIO — One person was killed and another was hospitalized following a crash early Wednesday near the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway in Cincinnati.
According to officials, the crash was reported around 4:37 a.m. on March 4 near Galbraith Road. Two people were transported to separate hospitals shortly after the incident.
The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office confirmed that one of the individuals later died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
First responders arriving at the scene reportedly freed a person who was trapped inside a vehicle and began performing CPR, according to initial emergency communication reports.
Galbraith Road was closed near the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway as crews responded to the crash. All lanes on the ramp from East Galbraith Road to the highway were also shut down.
Officials have not released a condition update for the surviving person. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
