
OHIO — One person was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash involving a dump truck in Marysville, according to police.
The crash happened around 12:10 p.m. on U.S. 33. The Marysville Police Division said crews responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident involving a dump truck that was heading eastbound.
An initial investigation found that the truck left the roadway and struck a tree. First responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Police said no other vehicles or occupants were involved in the crash.
The identity of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The right lane of U.S. 33 was closed following the crash, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The incident remains under investigation.
