OHIO — One person has died following a crash involving a semitruck on Interstate 71 near downtown Columbus early Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 1:40 a.m. on I-71 North at the I-670 West exit.
Authorities confirmed that at least two vehicles were involved, including a semitruck.
One person was transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead at 2:23 a.m.
Details regarding additional injuries were not immediately available.
The crash forced the closure of all northbound lanes on I-71 beyond I-670 West for several hours.
The highway has since reopened as police continue their investigation.
