
NORTH CAROLINA — A 34-year-old man died Sunday night following a single-vehicle crash in Greensboro, according to police.
Officers with the Greensboro Police Department, along with Greensboro Fire and Guilford County EMS, responded to the crash around 10:09 p.m. in the 100 block of Wesley Harris Circle.
Investigators said Shaki M. Thornhill was driving a Honda Civic on Pisgah Church Road when he crossed left of center and ran off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a fire hydrant, a fence, and a tree.
Thornhill was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities said his family has been notified.
The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the incident. No additional details have been released.
The crash marks the 15th traffic-related death in Greensboro so far this year.
