NORTH CAROLINA — One person was killed after a dump truck overturned in Johnston County on Wednesday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened on Covered Bridge Road near Archer Lodge.
Authorities confirmed a fatality but said no additional details about how the crash occurred or who was involved have been released as the investigation continues.
Officials said Covered Bridge Road between Carsons Creek Trail and Prestwood Lane has been closed in both directions while troopers remain on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
