NORTH CAROLINA — One person was killed in a crash early Sunday on U.S. Highway 64, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported just before 4 a.m. near Exit 432 for Lizard Lick Road. Troopers said a car caught fire following the crash, shutting down all eastbound lanes for several hours.
All lanes were reopened by 8:30 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
