MISSOURI — A woman was killed Tuesday evening following a three-vehicle crash in south St. Louis County, according to the St. Louis County Police Department.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Baumgartner Road and Blackforest Drive in Oakville, less than a half-mile from Oakville High School.
Officers from the South County Precinct responded to the scene and found multiple vehicles involved.
One woman was transported from the scene to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and the Accident Reconstruction Unit are actively investigating the incident.
As of Wednesday morning, no further details about the victim or the cause of the crash had been released.
