MICHIGAN — A three-vehicle crash on Northland Drive NE Wednesday morning left one person dead and two others seriously injured, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 6 a.m. when a southbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck a northbound car. That vehicle then collided with a second southbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 63-year-old man from Howard City, was pronounced dead at the scene. The at-fault driver, a 26-year-old Morley man, and the other driver, a 37-year-old Trufant man, were both seriously injured and taken to a hospital, with one requiring airlift, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

All three vehicles had only the drivers inside at the time of the crash.

“We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the man who lost his life in this crash,” the sheriff’s office said. The incident remains under investigation.
