MICHIGAN — A 25-year-old Burton man was killed Tuesday night after being struck by multiple vehicles following a crash on southbound I-75.
Michigan State Police said troopers responded to the scene near Grange Hall Road at approximately 10:20 p.m. on May 20.
According to investigators, the man lost control of his vehicle while driving too fast for road conditions in a construction zone.
The car struck the right shoulder wall and became disabled in the left lane.
MSP said the man exited the vehicle and was standing next to it in the left lane when a second vehicle was unable to stop in time and struck the disabled car, hitting the man in the process.
He was then thrown into the roadway and struck by a third vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured in the incident. Michigan State Police said both other drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
