MICHIGAN — A crash Thursday afternoon in Ottawa County left one person dead and three others seriously injured, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision occurred just before 2 p.m. when a Chevrolet pickup truck pulling a double-axle utility trailer pulled into the path of a 2002 Honda Civic. The truck was traveling north on 104th Avenue, while the Honda was heading west on Quincy Avenue.
The impact caused the pickup and its trailer to roll over. One person in the truck was pinned and had to be extricated, but later died from their injuries. The Honda’s driver and a passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
