LOUISIANA — A 48-year-old woman from Prairieville was killed Monday night in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 55, according to Louisiana State Police.
Troopers said Rashida Taylor was driving along I-55 shortly before 11 p.m. when her vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.
Taylor was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
