KENTUCKY — A 19-year-old from Hickman County was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 24, according to the Kentucky State Police.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near the 47-mile marker on the westbound side of the highway.
Troopers said Landon C. Ray, of Clinton, was driving west when his vehicle left the right side of the road, struck several trees, and overturned.
Ray was flown by Air Evac to a hospital in Paducah, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities noted that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
