KENTUCKY — One person was killed and another was hospitalized following a head-on crash Saturday night in Northern Kentucky, according to the Florence Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene around 8:51 p.m. at the intersection of Mall Road and Mall Access. Investigators say the crash involved two vehicles and was caused by a driver traveling the wrong way.
Police said a woman driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Mall Road caused the collision. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released pending notification of family members.
Another person involved in the crash was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
