KENTUCKY — One person is dead and another is injured following a single-vehicle crash near Lyndon late Thursday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded to a report of a crash near Ormsby Lane and Westport Road around 10:12 p.m. April 2, spokesperson Adam Sears said. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had left the roadway, with a man and woman both injured.
A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was “traveling eastbound on Ormsby Lane when it left the roadway” and struck a utility pole, Sears said.
Officers rendered aid at the scene before both individuals were transported to UofL Hospital.
The man, who has not been identified, was later pronounced dead by medical personnel. The woman is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit is leading the investigation.
