KENTUCKY — A section of roadway in Georgetown has been shut down following a fatal crash, according to local authorities.
The Georgetown Police Department reported the incident on Facebook shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday, stating that the crash occurred at the intersection of Cherry Blossom Way and the I-75 northbound on-ramp.
Police confirmed that the crash resulted in at least one death.
In response, the affected area has been closed to traffic as officers conduct an investigation.
The department advised that the closure may last for several hours and urged drivers to avoid the area.
“Please avoid the area and be patient as we work through this difficult situation,” the department wrote.
