KENTUCKY — A 27-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash Saturday night in Bullitt County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers said the collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 at the intersection of Kentucky 44 East and Watergate Drive near Mount Washington.
Investigators said a juvenile was driving a Toyota Tacoma when the passenger-side tires dropped off the right side of the roadway onto a steep shoulder. Police said the driver overcorrected, causing the truck to cross into the eastbound lane.
At the same time, a Ford Escape traveling in the opposite direction was struck head-on by the Toyota. The Ford, driven by 27-year-old Sarah Weisman of Shepherdsville, went down a small embankment and overturned onto its roof.
The Bullitt County coroner pronounced Weisman dead at the scene.
The juvenile driver of the Toyota was not injured, according to police.
The crash remains under investigation.
