KENTUCKY — A Hopkins County man was killed and another driver was injured Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Brown Road, according to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of a serious collision in the 8900 block of Brown Road at approximately 3:23 p.m.
Investigators said a preliminary investigation determined that Blane S. Metcalf was driving a 2022 Subaru westbound when his vehicle crossed the center line into the eastbound lane. The Subaru then collided with a 2015 Chrysler driven by Angela A. Bialek.
After the impact, both vehicles left the roadway, authorities said. Metcalf was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office.
Bialek was transported by Medical Center Ambulance Service to a local hospital for treatment of suspected injuries. Her condition was not immediately released.
No arrests were made and no charges have been filed in connection with the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.
