INDIANA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday afternoon in the rural southeastern part of the county.
Deputies were called to the scene around 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of Hoagland and Grotrian roads, located between Hoagland and Monroeville.
When officers arrived, they found a pickup truck off the road that had rolled over at least once.
According to the sheriff’s office, the driver had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. The crash remains under investigation.
