One person dead following vehicle crash in Indiana

INDIANA — One person is dead following a crash Saturday night east of downtown Fort Wayne, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.

Officers responded to the area of Maplecrest Road and Centerton Drive after receiving reports of a crash.

When they arrived, they found one person involved. Medics pronounced the individual dead at the scene.

Police believe speed may have been a factor.

The crash remains under investigation.

No other information has been released at this time.
