INDIANA — Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that claimed one life on Indianapolis’ north side Wednesday morning.
Police said officers from the IMPD Northwest District were called to the scene just before 7 a.m. in the 2800 block of West 79th Street. Upon arrival, officers found a crash involving two vehicles, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
IMPD crash investigators were requested to assist as crews worked to document evidence and determine what led to the collision.
West 79th Street was closed in both directions during the investigation. No additional details have been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
