
INDIANA — A 73-year-old Delphi man was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-car crash at the intersection of State Road 18 and U.S. Highway 421 South Junction, about three miles south of Delphi, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the crash around 1:45 p.m. on Nov. 23.
According to investigators, a Ford pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old Frankfort man and a Chevrolet SUV driven by 73-year-old Thomas Martin “collided under circumstances that remain under investigation.”
Martin was pronounced dead at the scene. A 59-year-old passenger in the SUV was transported to a Lafayette hospital with injuries, the extent of which has not been released.
The pickup driver was treated at the scene and released, police said.
The intersection was closed for about three hours for investigation and cleanup. Anyone with information is asked to contact K9 Deputy Drew Yoder with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
