ILLINOIS — A 29-year-old man died Monday night in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash occurred on Illinois Route 54, about half a mile west of Clinton, authorities said.
DeWitt County Coroner Randy Rice identified the driver as Thomas J. Lobano of Clinton. According to Rice, the vehicle went off the side of the road into a wooded area before crashing. Lobano was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:30 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation by the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Department, the Illinois State Police, and the coroner’s office.
