ILLINOIS — One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on U.S. 24 between Coatsburg and Camp Point, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened just before 10 p.m. Officers arrived to find a vehicle overturned in a large ravine off the north side of the highway.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family by Adams County Coroner Scott Graham.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate. Central Adams Fire, Camp Point Fire, Clayton Fire, and Adams County EMS responded to the scene.
