ILLINOIS — A person was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Champaign County Saturday night after a truck collided with a tree, according to Illinois State Police.
Troopers responded around 10:04 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle fatal crash on IL Route 10 near Munroe Street in Bondville.
A gray Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on IL Route 10 when it drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
State Police confirmed one person died at the scene but did not specify whether anyone else was in the vehicle. No further details were released, and the investigation is ongoing.
