GEORGIA — A two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening on State Route 46 left one person dead and a teenager critically injured.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 46 and Nevils Denmark Road. Investigators said a commercial vehicle failed to stop at the intersection and struck a Honda Odyssey minivan.
Emergency crews pronounced the driver of the Honda dead at the scene. A 15-year-old passenger in the minivan was airlifted to Memorial Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
