GEORGIA — A 39-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Fortson Road in Muscogee County.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the victim as Brandon Terran McRae. Bryan said McRae was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:38 a.m. after his vehicle veered off Fortson Road and struck a tree just south of Almond Road near County Place.
According to the coroner, McRae was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The manner of death was ruled accidental, and the cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma to the head and torso.
The Columbus Police Department Motor Squad is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
