GEORGIA — A 45-year-old man died early Sunday morning after a single-car crash in Cobb County, police said.
The crash occurred just after 3 a.m. on Joe Jerkins Boulevard, south of Bagley Lane.
Authorities reported that Erik Attaway of Austell was driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue north on Joe Jerkins Boulevard when, for unknown reasons, he lost control while attempting to turn right.
The vehicle collided with an embankment and a large tree. Attaway was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cobb County Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
